Black Friday Madness

So, I've done shopping on so called Black Friday before...but it's never been quite so sketchy as it was today! I fit Walmart this morning at 4:45...just in time for those 5 am sales. Now, call me selfish, but I didn't buy a single Christmas gift. I needed a vacuum, a hand mixer, and a set of Rubbermaid containers for my future apartment...all of which I got for about $50. A-mazing.

But, can I just say that all of Anderson's crazies hang out there at about the same time? So, Ashley and I were looking for these vacuum cleaners and hadn't seen anyone in the store with one. Finally, we saw a lady down the greeting card aisle with one standing next to her. We thought, perfect, we can ask her...until we saw her sniffing her electronic of some kind. It was the creepiest thing I have ever seen. Now, I'm not going to lie...I thought briefly that she might not notice if I took her vacuum cleaner, but then thought the better of it.

Any who, I think the amount of "loot" I took home made the early morning worth it.

"I love these hills!"

So, I went on a little road trip with my suitemate Ashley's family a couple of weekends ago. Her family is fun because they just start driving and then decide where to go. I woke up at a rest stop, read the sign and said "How did we get to Tennessee?!" Once we were in Gatlinburg (the best tourist trap, ever!) I looked around and said "It's really pretty up here with all these hills." Her whole family "busted out" laughing and said they were mountains. I'm just saying...get bigger mountains. :)

Oh, Election Day

I swear, if I hear one more Christian say that this means Jesus is coming back...

If you don't like it, pray for him...and you might want to read this (Rom 13:1-7):

1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. 4For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. 6This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. 7Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

Just sayin'.
